Successful Direct Sales Launch Party Prep

To ensure you have a successful direct sales launch party there is some prep you’ll want to do. I recommend speaking to your sponsor and having a plan for your party. You want to keep the pressure off, and don’t go overboard with drinks and snacks. It needs to feel easy for your guests to do themselves too. So keep it simple.

Plan your table, think about what you want to showcase. Again, I’m going to say it, keep it simple. You want your guests to think that it looks easy and that they could do this in their home. Or even become a consultant themselves.

Successful Direct Sales Launch Party Prep

Practise what you plan to say. I encourage you to write a script and practise it. You may not actually use it on the night, but by having written one, and then repeated it a number of times it will help you have some flow and confidence. You could always ask a close friend or family member who can’t make the launch party to come over and help you out while you practise on them. It might even encourage them to book a party themselves!

Decide what you’re going to wear in advance. Make sure it’s something you’re comfortable in and also gives the right impression for your new business. Personally I don’t like to be too smart because I want to attract people who don’t feel they have to buy a whole new wardrobe. But I like to look professional. So I go for a casual dress, or jeans and a smart top. But you need to go with your personal style. It needs to feel ‘you’ and professional at the same time.

Whatever you do, please don’t go and buy new clothes. Firstly we don’t want you spending any more until you make your investment back. Secondly, as I said before, you want to attract people to you that don’t feel like they have to go out and buy a new wardrobe to be a consultant themselves. And if you do that, your friends may feel the same. So don’t 😉
