I am super excited to share a new Workspace Wednesday post featuring my good friend Hope Hanson-Baker. Hope works with a company called Youngevity and they are often described as the Costco of Direct Sales. With products that now includes premium coffees, essential oils, mineral makeup, photo keepsakes, gourmet on-the-go foods and food storage, and many others. Exciting, hey?

Hope recently moved too so I can’t wait to see what she has to say about her workspace! Over to you Hope!

My office is my sanctuary. Our home is full of music and chaos, and it is just nice to have somewhere that is mine, and calm.

When we moved to our new home in the middle of the summer, we had originally planned to have my office in the basement, doubling with the guest room. But one night my husband and I were sitting in the family room and we realized we would never use the front room (or formally living room) in this house. So it was decided that I would make that my office. It is wonderful because it is very separate from the rest of the house, and is nice and easy for my VIP shopping appointments.

Because my company is a multi-product line company, I needed to have a display to showcase a few of my top product lines. I use each cube as a way to showcase the different lines. There are way too many products to have a sample of everything, but this is a good basic selection.

The bench under the window is for two things. One, storage of all my event goodies. Display pieces, literature, etc. But, because I do have two lovely little monkeys who invade my sanctuary all the time, I needed a place for them to sit! I also have a couple of displays facing out my window for the nosey neighbours!

The bookcases on either side of my desk are filled with all the daily things I need. Filing, literature, products, technology, packaging, reference books, it is all there! Now, my desk is my favourite part! It looks like marble, but it is just a slap of wood! I used 2 rolls of marble contact paper to create the look. It makes it super easy to take pictures for my blog and other stuff!

Ok, I have something to admit. I have an addiction. I LOVE pens. Any colour (but colour is the best), and the more the merrier. So, I bought the wonderful rolling cart from Ikea and have filled it up! I like to use colour when I am keeping notes on my team and my customers. It makes it easier to find and I have a whole coding system that I use.

I keep my event kit all ready to go. A number of times, I have had the last minute chance to run to meet someone.

Then there is the “hole”. I am on a search for the perfect little table and chair set to have for clients to come and check out the products. Or somewhere that I can sit and be comfy and read. Once I find it, it will go into the empty space, but for now, a sign sits in its place.

So, this is my special little place where I am hoping to build my empire! Or at least be able to stay home with my little ones and watch as they grow.

Oh isn’t that just wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing with us Hope. I adore hearing about how you make the space work for you. I am also totally jealous that you have such a large space! Haha!

I love the colour coding tip too, I also love to use colour when I am making notes, but don’t really have a system. Perhaps I can persuade Hope to share hers with me one day! If you have a colour coding system I’d love to hear about it! In fact it could make an awesome Workspace Wednesday blog post if you fancy featuring here on my blog 😉

Please do check Hope out on social media, here are her links:

Hugs and kisses, and as always, thanks for being here!
